Market AuthorisationHolders/ Prospective Market Authorisation Holders: (Human Medicine, Complementary Medicines, Veterinary Medicine and Medical Devices)
The Botswana Medicines Regulatory Authority (BoMRA) is pleased to announce the development and rollout of the BoMRA Regulatory Information Management System (BRIMS). BRIMS is a web-based system designed to automate all regulatory processes for the Regulatory Authority, thus providing a streamlined and efficient service for our stakeholders.
Accessible Features of BRIMS Ready for Stakeholders:
Stakeholders are encouraged to apply online for the following transactions:
- Applications for Screening
- Applications for Registration
- Applications for Variations
- Applications for Renewal of Registration
- Application for Exemption from Registration
- Retentions of Products in the different Registers
- Payments for the above services on BRIMS using debit or credit cards
Stakeholders are reminded that No manual application for the above mentioned services will be accepted effective 31st July 2024, meanwhile, BoMRA will continue to assist applicants to upload their applications onto the system.
BRIMS Account Opening:
All stakeholders who have not created a BRIMS account are required to open an account for the use of the system. Kindly follow this link to create a new BRIMS Account or log in to an existing account: https://brims.bomra.co.bw/#/public/login.
Payment Methods:
The option to make payments outside of the BRIMS platform will be closed on the 31st July 2024. Payments will be made on BRIMS using either a debit or credit card.
In the meantime, we remind those that are still making payments outside BRIMS to ensure immediate completion of applications in BRIMS by attaching required documents such as proof of payment and submitting the application accordingly. This process is crucial as it it enables application verification and billing. The conclusion of these steps leads to the next stage of application assessment.
Our Commitment:
In this digital transformation journey, we aim to enable our stakeholders to transact with BoMRA from anywhere in the world, at any time of the day.
Contact Information:
As it is the case with the introduction of new ways of work, it is anticipated that there maybe teething problems as we build and rollout the system, however, we encourage our customers and stakeholders to continue to engage the Authority for resolution of any challenges they may encounter.
