The Botswana Medicines Regulatory Authority (BoMRA) through the product evaluation and registration department invites Complementary Medicines & Cosmetics stakeholders (MAHs, Manufacturers, Distributors, Authourised Representatives, importers etc.) to participate in a stakeholder engagement to discuss various issues as stated below;
Guidelines
- Updates to the Complementary Medicines guidelines,
- Updates to the registrability guideline/Borderline Products guideline which aims to help stakeholders in the classification of products that are in the Food-Medicine interface, and
- The Cosmetics listing and Labelling guidelines with the aim of providing guidance to stakeholders on cosmetics regulatory compliance.
Complementary Medicines Register
- Proposed actions to different elements of the register including approved cosmetics, old products, and listed products and how the Authority intends to process these products.
- Post-marketing authorization activities including renewals and retentions.
BRIMS
- Progress thus far in the implementation of the system, and the next steps. Ongoing challenges and opportunities for improvement.

The engagement will be virtual with sessions on Wednesday and Thursday the 9th and 10th of October 2024 from 0830 – 1300 hrs.
